Two Year Commitments (9 members)
Committee Members This is a WORKING committee. Each member serves a 2 year term with approximately ½ of the committee rotating off each year.*

Six to Nine Week Commitment (15 volunteers)
Guide: This volunteer opportunity takes place over 6 weeks, two consecutive rotations in the religious education program. These 6 weeks may or may not be consecutive due to holidays and special events. Guides sign up for one class in which they facilitate community building.*

Spirit Play Storyteller: (We need 4 Spirit Play Storytellers) This volunteer opportunity is a 9 week commitment. The first 9 weeks are usually done by the same storyteller to provide continuity and to orient the children to Spirit Play. The storyteller is the facilitator of the lesson in the preschool Montessori style class.*
Youth Advisor: This volunteer opportunity takes place over 8 weeks, these may be consecutive or spread out over the year depending on the advisors schedule. This position is a support position for the paid youth advisor. The youth group meets on Sunday evenings.*
Eight-Ten Week commitment (6 volunteers)
Spirit Play Doorkeeper: (We need at least 6 Spirit Play Doorkeepers) Each week, we'll need 1-3 doorkeepers--more at the beginning of the year as the children and others learn expectations and roles. Each doorkeeper signs up for 8-10 Sundays over the course of an RE year. The doorkeeper helps the storyteller to set the tone for the class.*
Four Week Commitment (27 volunteers)
Workshop Facilitator This volunteer opportunity takes place for one rotation in the religious education program. These 4 weeks may or may not be consecutive due to holidays and special events. Facilitators sign up for one “room” either the theater, lab, studio or faith-in-action room. Facilitators guide the children through exploring one of the seven principles.*

*Because these positions are working directly with our children you need to have been
actively involved with the congregation for a minimum of 1 year and must agree to go
through a background check as well as sign a code of ethics.
